on the 12th of May, our school invited the foreign teacher Craig to give a lecture about New Zealand in the school hall. It lasted for an hour, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. More than 100 students from Grade 7 and Grade 8 took part in it.
He started with the greeting “Kia Oro Aotearoa” in Moari’s language. During the lecture, Craig told about the history, the traditional culture and customs, the native animals, food and art of New Zealand. He was very humourous and showed some beautiful pictures to make his lecture interesting and attractive. All the students were excited and interested in it.
Thanks to the lecture, the students got to know a lot about New Zealand---an English-speaking country. It was a great success.
